According to research, "hands-off" leaders who don't actively interact with their team members or recognize their individual contributions are just as likely to negatively impact employee motivation as "hands-on" leaders who are quick to correct others. This can result in higher absenteeism and lower output for the company. (Webb, 2017)

The leader is expected to plan and execute of actions to attain the organizational goals. There is a difference between the management and leadership, the management is concerned about the short-term issues in a company, where as leaders adopt and look into broader prospective (Amadi, 2018).
